Moving Services in Denver

Moving Proz Mover

Why Choose Moving Proz?

We get it, you love your bros, but do your bros love you enough to take care of your stuff, or are they going to just toss them into the truck just so they get their free slice of pizza? Maybe you think, “my bros would totally take care of my stuff!” Look, we have been in the business long enough to assure you, your stuff isn’t safe with them. We are professional movers who can help you with your residential and commercial moves. So whether you are moving your multi-million dollar mansion (we’re not jealous or anything) or your small corner office, we can help!

The thing that is really attractive about recruiting your friends, families, neighbors, or even coworkers to help move all of your belongings is that is cost hardly anything. You just throw a bag of chips and a soda at them. Here’s the thing, they don’t want to help you move, nobody wants to help you move, so they are going to treat everything you own as if they don’t want to be there. You might think, “oh, but they love me!” No, they are doing this entirely out of obligation and with the understanding that you will help them if they ever need to move.

Don’t recruit people out of obligation, hire professional Denver movers (hey, that’s us) so that you can be certain that all of your belongings will be packed, and loaded with care. Our entire team is trained to ensure that your furniture, supplies, equipment, antiques, and heirlooms are all protected. We know how to play box Tetris so we can fit everything securely so there isn’t massive shifting on the drive over to your new place.

Moving Proz is a full-service moving company that provides a host of moving services to make sure that we can help you throughout the moving process. Ultimately, we want to provide you with such a great service that you feel it necessary to provide us with a 5-star review. Please, let us know how we can make that happen!

Why You Should Choose Moving Proz

We understand if you still want to look around for other pro moving services, it won’t hurt our feelings — much. Before you pick the first company with “moving” in its name, there are some things you should know about the Denver area that could help you decide, or at least ask the right questions.

First and foremost, Denver’s altitude can have an effect on people and moving equipment. You want to make sure the movers you choose have experience working in the city’s rarified air and will be able to get the job done without stopping to catch their breath every few minutes.

It’s also important to think about the city’s traffic conditions, as they can get pretty hairy around rush hour. Does the company you’re looking into understand that? Do your movers know their way around town so they can beat the rush and find the most expeditious route to or from your location? Even though the image of the snow-capped Rockies is what most people think of when they think about Denver, the truth is that the weather in the city can be quite different from season to season, and an experienced moving company will be prepared for whatever is thrown at it.

Before making any choices, it’s a good idea to check whether your moving company is fully licensed by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission. This is a requirement from the state and a lot of shady operators will try to cover up the fact that they’re not in full compliance.

We have all of the qualifications and certifications you need to feel good about choosing us as your affordable professional moving company. We’re confident that we check all the boxes for you and your upcoming move, so why not give us a call today?

Look, confirmation bias has led all of us astray at one time or another (seriously, no matter what the reviews say, that T-shirt is not going to cure Dad Bod). But check us out on Moving Proz Homeadvisor. We’re even nice to the people who rip us. And we belong to the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, because we believe in that sort of thing.

You can also connect with the Moving Proz Denver team on social media at Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Some other things you may want to know about Moving Proz:

  • We’re family owned and operated
  • You’ll talk to human beings when you call
  • We have all the insurance

    • No walking distance fees
    • No stair charges

FAQS About Moving to the Denver Metro Area

Facing a move in Denver? You likely have lots of questions about what to expect, what everything will cost you, and which neighborhood you should choose. That’s why we’ve compiled these handy FAQs to help you as you handle your residential or commercial move.

How much do movers cost in Denver?

This can’t be accurately answered until we know the specifics of your move and how many belongings you need relocated. But in general, the average cost of a basic local move in Denver (with two moving professionals and a truck) will cost you between $110 and $160 per hour. For a three-bedroom home, the cost would be about $1400 altogether.

Here at Moving Proz, we charge by the amount of time your move takes, starting with an estimate based on the information you give us about your move. This estimate includes a minimum and an hourly rate per mover, but we will only bill you in 15-minute increments so you’re only paying for what you use.

We do not charge fuel or mileage surcharges, walking fees, stair fees, or any other hidden add-on fees. We do charge a fee for additional stops but only if you have not made us aware of this beforehand. We recommend advising us of any stops at the time of booking.

We take a 35% deposit when you book a local move; long-distance moves require a 50% deposit over two installments. You will be responsible for any remaining balance at the end of your move, before the movers depart the premises.

You can also tip your movers for excellent service. A good rule of thumb is between $5 and $10/hr/mover.

Where should I move in Denver?

This is a highly subjective decision, but there are some neighborhoods that may suit your needs better than others. For instance, if you love the hustle and bustle of city life, you may want to consider Capitol Hill, the city’s most densely populated neighborhood. There are many bars and restaurants in this area, great for college students or young professionals.

If you have a young family, on the other hand, you may want to try someplace like Greenwood Village, which is rich in history and features a safe, welcoming neighborhood. Many families with young children choose to settle here, thanks to the many outdoor activities and parks, as well as great schools.

Other neighborhoods to choose from in Denver include:

  • Washington Park
  • Littleton
  • Central Business District
  • Five Points
  • Cherry Creek
  • Baker
  • Sloans Lake
  • Highlands
What is a good livable salary in Denver?

Estimates show that a family of two adults and two children in Denver would need to earn a combined $92,000 per year — or $7,700 a month — in order to live comfortably. The median household income here is about $75,000 a year.

Are any neighborhoods in Denver worse than others?

While Denver has countless beautiful and safe neighborhoods, there are some that may be considered more dangerous than others in terms of crime rate. They include:

  • Central West Denver
  • Auraria
  • Stapleton
  • Alamo Placita
  • Montbello
  • Central Business District
What is the richest part of Denver?

The 10 richest neighborhoods in Denver as of 2021 are:

  1. Cherry Creek
  2. Stapleton
  3. Washington Park
  4. Central East Denver
  5. Auraria
  6. Golden Triangle
  7. Park Hill
  8. Highland
  9. University
  10. Lodo
What is the least expensive suburb to live in near Denver?

The most affordable suburbs of Denver include:

  • Commerce City
  • Thornton
  • West Minster
  • Northglenn
  • Aurora
  • Centennial
  • Arvada
  • Broomfield
  • Lakewood
  • Erie
Is Denver better than other cities to move to?

Again, this is a highly subjective decision. U.S. News & World Report did rank Denver as the second-best city in the United States to live in 2020. If you love the mountain views, fresh air, and hot job market, Denver is a great choice. However, keep in mind it has a high cost of living and high population growth. Still, the close proximity to the Rockies, pleasant weather and the opportunity to ski most months of the year all bring people closer to Denver’s strong sense of community.

What other cities do people commonly move to from Denver?

If people do make the move to leave Denver, they are more likely to venture to the following destinations:

  • Santa Barbara CA
  • Wichita KS
  • Little Rock AR
  • Lincoln Nebraska
  • Columbus OH
  • Baltimore MD
  • New Orleans LA
  • Cincinnati OH
  • Worcester MA
  • St. Louis Metro
  • Salt Lake City Metro
