Are you planning to move houses? Would you like some tips to make moving houses fun?

Moving houses is usually associated with a lot of stress and confusion, but it doesn’t have to always be this way. By taking a few steps you can make moving houses a really fun experience.

Here are a few tips to make moving houses fun…

1. Plan:

Quite often many people find moving houses problematic because they don’t have a plan. When a plan or system isn’t in place the process of moving becomes confusing. So write a detailed plan which includes all the tasks. If you include times it will be an added bonus. Planning will improve productivity and smoothen the process.

2. Listen to music:

A great way to make moving fun is by listening to music. You can make a playlist of all your favourite tracks (on your mp3 player) and listen to them or you could listen to pre-existing playlists on Apps like Spotify. You could also put them all on loudspeaker so that everyone who is helping you move can listen to the tracks.

3. Take breaks:

Taking regular breaks after every hour can also make moving more fun. Keep the breaks to a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes. During this time you can reward yourself with things you enjoy most. You can take a longer break for lunch or tea.

4. Begin way ahead:

If you are planning to hire residential movers to do the moving, the whole process of moving should only take a day or two as they will do the packing and moving for you. But if you plan to do it all by yourself you will need to begin days ahead by writing your plan, buying all your packing material, gradually packing items one by one, moving a few items in your first few trips, etc. Forcing the process through a single day will make it highly stressful.

5. Be careful:

Things that can make moving extremely distasteful are an injury to yourself (or other family members) and/or damage to your items so be extremely careful while carrying them.
